TCUK are part of the United Technologies Company, one of America`s largest Corporate entities. Other Group companies include Otis Lifts, Chubb Security & Pratt & Witney Aerospace.

MBS have provided hardware & support to Carrier for some 10 years. After the acquisition of Toshiba, the total UK estate increased to 9 offices, factories & warehouse facilities.

The requirement
Under the guidance of a strict cost-reduction strategy issued by the US based HQ, there was a need to consolidate equipment and usuage.  Also the company needed to take full advantage of the latest technology.

The solution
Margolis recommended that Toshiba upgrade all the copiers to include networked scan, fax and print capability through the latest digital mid-range system, the Canon iR3300.  Colour facilities were wanted for the HQ in Leatherhead, the cutting-edge Canon Ir2105c was installed.

This strategy allows TCUK to provide field engineers with technical drawings and manuals for support to clients via electronic files rather than paper, as well as supporting electronic archiving, desktop faxing & group send of mixed paper and electronic files to all WAN users.

Total saving over previous contract; £13500 per annum including termination of contractual obligation with their existing supplier, Xerox.
