6 Ways to Boost Office Productivity
We’re always looking for ways to make our work day in the office that little more productive, but sometimes, we just cannot get into our work stride fast enough. As much as we love our jobs, it can be hard to be a productive office superhero. So how can we boost our daily productivity?
Write your to do list for the next day the evening before. That way, you reduce the stress of thinking about your next day in the evening or during the journey into work and you’ll be immediately prepared for the day ahead when you hit the office the next morning.
Get In Early
Get to your desk nice and early in the morning, so that you have time to settle in. Its really hard to get to the office 2 minutes before you start and get straight into your productivity zone. Get in 15 minutes early, so you have time to make a coffee and set yourself up for the day.
Mix Your Day Up
Don’t work on a project solidly until it is finished, set yourself agreed periods of time to work on a project and then move onto something else, thus eliminating the tedium associated with that same project for long periods of time.
For that first hour, be super productive. Get as much done as you possibly can, without finding distractions for yourself in your emails or favourite blogs. This will set the tone for your day and grants a sense of accomplishment that will see you through to the end of the day.
Drink up throughout the day and keep yourself hydrated. A hydrated brain is a healthy brain and a healthy brain is a productive brain. Keep a bottle of water by your side throughout the day and your day will not have to be disrupted.
Immerse yourself in your job and love what you do, it is so much easier to be productive if you are engaged in what you do. So love your job and have fun.
